Berlin Hatmaking since 2007
ABOUT US

At Captn-Crop we aim to produce authentic and unique, yet everyday pieces at fair prices for those who appreciate the quality, creativity and aesthetics of locally made products.
Captn-Crop was founded in 2007 by Moritz Wolfgruber when he developed a genuine technique for making hats. Over the years, however, this has developed into much, much more.
We are a small young team designing and manufacturing headwear and streetwear in the heart of Berlin.
We do mini series, one-offs & customised products.

Studio
After working in the back of our shop for over a decade, in 2022 we finally moved with all our machines to a beautiful studio space near Ostkreuz, Berlin. Here we manufacture your orders, design small series or create the most unique one-off pieces.
We're excited to invite you to our new space in the heart of Friedrichshain, near Ostkreuz. Our new location includes a beautiful atelier and garden.
We’ll be having a soft opening from April to May, and we’ll keep you updated on all the details as we settle in...

SHOP
Part of our Berlin studio has been transformed into a cozy shop space. Here, you’re welcome to try on the hats, browse through our extensive library of vintage fabrics, get inspired, or even bring your own materials to create something truly unique together.
After having two locations for production and sales, we are stoked to have everything under the same roof again.
Opened from Tuesday to Saturday, come say hi!

OUR
LOGO
“What does the money machine eat? It eats youth, spontaneity, life, beauty and above all it eats creativity. It eats quality and shits out quantity.”
- William S. Burroughs -
Our logo symbolises the scratches of a prisoner who wants to break out. We try to free ourselves as much as possible from the money machine and its destructive rage and still earn a living doing what we love to do.
Products that are made for their beauty and functionality and not just to make a profit. Being able to identify with our work and what we do is the most important thing for us.
A symbol of freedom - breaking free from all destructive and limiting forces.
