Captn-Crop creates authentic and unique, yet everyday pieces at fair prices for those who value the quality, creativity, and aesthetics of locally made products.

Captn-Crop was founded in 2007 by me, Moritz Wolfgruber, when I developed a genuine technique for making hats. Over the years, this practice has evolved into much more than its original form.

Today, I design and manufacture headwear and streetwear independently in the heart of Berlin, focusing on limited mini series, one-off pieces, and customised products.

Studio

After working in the back of my shop for over a decade, I moved all my machines in 2022 to a beautiful studio space near Ostkreuz, Berlin. Here, I manufacture orders, design small series, and create unique one-off pieces.

You’re welcome to visit my studio and showroom in the heart of Friedrichshain, near Ostkreuz. The space includes an atelier, a garden, and a wide selection of fabrics for custom pieces.

The Captn-Crop logo symbolises the scratches of a prisoner trying to break out. It stands for the attempt to free myself as much as possible from the money machine and its destructive rage — while still earning a living doing what I love.

I create products for their beauty and functionality, not merely for profit. Being able to identify fully with my work and the way it is made is essential.

The logo is a symbol of freedom — breaking away from all destructive and limiting forces.
