FABRIC:
Made from a collage of our oldest jute sacks. We only selected sacks with lots of original prints, scars and patches, dyed them black and roughly stitched them together to create a distressed but subtle style that complements the hatband made from colourful old lashing straps. For the lining, we used one of our self-printed eco-print fabrics with an ant pattern, combined with our logo patch.
"For our Top Hats we only use real old burlap sacks, which back in the days have been used as a carrier for fertilizer, peanuts, bird food or coffee beans. But unlike coffee bags nowadays, these old sacks were woven much tighter & often have scars or patches from the heavy usage."
LINING: In-House made ant illustrated eco-print fabric, with logo patch.
HATBAND: old colored lashings, roughly sewn together
FEATURES:
The brim of every Captn-Crop Top-Hat is reinforced with an aluminum wire. It’s not only strengthening the hat itself, but also gives you the option to shape the brim as you like!
Our hats are super sturdy, you can wash them and sit on them if you please. like a good shoe they get better with age.
